I offer my editorial services to independent authors, publishers, businesses, charities and students. I am happy to work on a range of material from books and magazines to websites, digital content, promotional literature and academic work. If you are looking for a copywriter, copy-editor or proofreader, please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Below is a bit more information about the proofreading services I offer to students.
For students
I offer a proofreading service to students, which covers a range of formats from essays to dissertations and PhD theses. This service includes correcting any spelling, typing, punctuation or grammatical errors, making sure that the writing flows well and that a consistent style is followed. I will also check the formatting of references and will need to be advised of the particular reference system used. Where relevant, I will provide feedback to help you improve your writing.
Please note, before contacting me, it is recommended that students consult with their course or research supervisor to determine whether proofreading is acceptable for any given item of coursework. Also, please make sure that you contact me well in advance of your deadline to allow me sufficient time to complete the job and answer any potential queries. Work should only be submitted to me when it is at completion stage.
When you submit your work for proofreading, please also send me any details of your university’s style guidelines. These could refer to the formatting of headings, quotations, references, bibliographies and footnotes.
All suggested changes will be made via Track Changes, meaning that you can choose to accept or ignore my suggestions. The responsibility for any changes lies with you.
If you would like to request a quote for a proofreading job, please email me with details of the document, the word count and your deadline and I will reply back with a confirmed price and estimated turn-around time.
